Saturday was a strange night. In hot lap sessions, we blew the distributor cap off the car. After replacing the cap and rotor. We qualified very fast. The track was very slick from oil that had been put on the track from a previous wreck prior to our heat race and we finished fourth. Before getting the green flag the car started missing badly and water temp went to 240 degrees. We drove off track into the pits and found the problem to be enternal engine problem. I am sad to say that we are done for the year.

August 10, 2002
After making repairs from last weeks crash the car was really bad for hot laps and qualifying. We had a slow time and did not qualify for the dash. We made some changes before the heat race. We ran a little better however, we still did not have the car where it needed to be. After the heat the rear pinion seal was leaking. We had to change the seal because it was leaking alot of oil. We started on the pole in the feature and jumped out to a early lead and the car was really good. After two laps the track officals radioed to me that we had fuel leaking out the right side of the car. I was black flagged and had to go to the pits. Dave (crew chief) dumped some gas and we went to the track and waited for a yellow flag to enter the race. I got back on the track and lapped three cars and finished fourth. See you in a couple of weeks we not be racing for two weeks.

We had our fastest qualifying time of the year with a lap of 17.72. We made the dash as second fastest qualifier of the evening. The car was very loose coming off the turns. We made an adjustment before the heat race and finished third. We thought we had a real good chance of getting our first feature win of the year. On lap one while running three wide in turn one, we got hit in the left rear and spun into the wall. As the car was sitting against the wall we also got hit in the front left. We sustained major damage. It will be a long week.

July 27, 2002
We had the 4th fastest time and in the dash race we finished third. In the heat we got caught in some slower traffic and got behind about ten car lengths. The car was really hooked up and we caught the pack on the last lap. Before the feature, crew cheif Dave Carpenter made a very good adjustment and we finished fourth in feature. The car is really getting faster.

On a hot & humid night we qualified second fastest. We scored a pair of third place finishes in the dash and heat races. In the feature race finished in the fourth position. We are getting
faster every week. Hopefully, we can pull off a feature win soon.

Qualified fast enough to make to dash race and finished second. Got involved in crash in heat race. Had to leave track due to damage to front of car. Duct tape the hood together for feature and finished fourth.

It was Law Enforcement Day at the track. This is a way to Thank the people who serve and protect us everyday. We had a pretty good night. Qualified fourth fastest. Spun out in dash to avoid wreck and damage the car slightly. We were still making repairs to the car and did not run heat race. In our 20 lap feature we finished a strong third.

Last week we had a problem with the clutch slipping. We ordered the parts to make the necessary repair, but it did not arrive in time to get the car ready to race. So I guess you can say this week I raced the big brown truck and lost.

We were the fourth fastest qualifier and finished third in the heat race. The clutch was slipping and we finished third in feature. We had autograph banner night. Fans came down on the track for autographs at intermission and we gave away checkered flags, plus signed many autographs. We are currently 3rd in points.

May 27, 2002
The day started with us qualifying fourth fastest which was good enough to make the dash race finishing 4th. The car was real loose during the heat raced we finished last. Before the feature we adjusted the sway bar which took care of the handling problem. We worked our way up through the field to third place before being spun out and hit on the right rear of car ultimately finishing 7th. The car suffered only minor damage.

The night started off on a positive note by qualifying 2nd fastest. The top four qualifiers raced in the dash race. We finished 2nd in that race and started on the tail of the heat race to finish 4th. After some tough talking by my 5-year old son on how to pass we also finished 4th in the feature.

The 2002 racing season finally got underway qualifying 3rd fastest for the heat race. We experienced some first night problems with the clutch. In the heat race while leading someone lost some fluid on the track causing the car to spin and hit the inside wall. The centerlink on the car was bent and we could not finish the heat race. After some speedy repairs we made it in time to run the feature and ultimately finished 4th.
